Joachim Pistorius




As a co-founder and managing partner of 2pi Patent Consulting GbR, Joachim Pistorius focuses on the representation of clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Prior to co-founding 2pi Patent Consulting GbR in 2016, Joachim Pistorius was working for over three years as a US Patent Agent for Altera Corporation where he performed patent prosecution and assisted in patent litigation. Between 1996 and 2012, Joachim Pistorius held several positions in research and development organizations at major Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor companies. His involvement at those companies ranges from the development and support of new architectures for Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) to the development and implementation of algorithms for logical and physical synthesis. Joachim Pistorius has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He is also named as a co-inventor on seven U.S. patents.
